APSA ACADEMY MEMBERS
Formed in early 2008 and led by patron, Australian screen legend, Jack Thompson AM, and vice patron, Alicia Mayer Beverley, this growing body of world-class filmmakers provides a platform for relationships to foster between the 70 countries and areas that form the APSA network.
Comprising past APSA nominees, International Jury and Nominations Council members, The Academy of the Asia Pacific Screen Awards plays an increasingly-active role in encouraging dialogue, collaboration and business opportunities for the region’s filmmakers.
Increasing by approximately 100 members per year, by late 2009 the Academy has grown to some 300 of the region’s most influential names in film. In time, members will have a voting influence on the Awards.
